The Year of 50!

It's true--I turned 50 six days ago. And to those who say that 50 is the new 30, I say that I did not go to sleep on New Year's Eve, 1990, at 10:00 like I did last night. If my 50 is what 30-year-olds are doing now, I feel sorry for them!

But not for myself. I rarely feel sorry for myself. And there's little reason to, especially this year, as I am taking on a project--The Year of 50--that will bring about lots of positive changes. Plus, I am writing a book about this project and my year. It may never get published (although I hope it will), but it is giving me lots to do.

I do not want to give away too much, but I do want to give notice that this blog and this web site will be part of my project. Until I turn 51, I will be posting all sorts of information, visuals, and short films; asking you to answer questions, respond to short surveys, or be interviewed; putting a call out for specific information; and keeping everyone up-to-date as far as my progress. I have many goals this year, and I may not be successful with all of them, but the journey should be fun!

I promise to blog once a week and to get the whole web site current and to keep it that way. So please bookmark this page and check back often. (If I know folks are reading, I am more likely to stay on track!) Leave comments . . . not now, necessarily, but when things get going.

Thanks for everything! Peace and goodwill for the New Year!
